Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1.5 cups long-grain white rice (rinsed)
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 2 TBSP of HS Creations, LLC Sazón Seasoning Blend
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 TBSP garlic, minced (optional, add for additional flavor)
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 TBSP olive oil (optional, for browning)
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish
Preparation
1. Optional Browning: Heat olive oil in a skillet and lightly brown chicken for extra flavor.
2. Layer Ingredients: Add chicken, onion, garlic, bell pepper, and rice to the crockpot.
3. Season: Sprinkle HS Creations, LLC Sazón Seasoning Blend evenly over the ingredients.
4. Add Broth: Pour in chicken broth and stir gently.
5. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until rice is tender and chicken is cooked through.
6. Finish: Stir in peas during the last 30 minutes. Shred chicken if desired.
7. Serve: Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley and enjoy!
