About the Recipe

Preparation

  1. Heat the gravy. Toss all ingredients in a saucepan,  whisk continuously to form a smooth paste (roux). Cook for about 2 or more minutes until it turns a light brown color. For thick gravy add more flour or cornstarch. As it cools it should thicken

  2. Serve: Pour the gravy over mashed potatoes, roasted meats, or any dish that could use a savory, Feelin’ Gravy boost!


Fun Variations

  • Mushroom Gravy: Add sautéed mushrooms to the gravy for an earthy twist.

  • Onion Gravy: Caramelize onions and add them to the gravy for a sweet and savory flavor.

  • Herb-Infused Gravy: Add fresh herbs like thyme, rosemary, or sage for an aromatic touch. You can even add lemon juice for a delightful change of pace.
